Citron coral goby

The citron coral goby is a small reef fish in the family Gobiidae, found in the Indo-Pacific. It is bright lemon-yellow, sometimes with faint blue markings on the head, and has the stout, perch-shaped body typical of the coral gobies that live among the branches of Acropora and other stony corals. It is a peaceful, retiring fish that perches within coral branches and rarely strays far, darting for cover when disturbed. It can be kept singly or as a pair, and pairs may bond within a single coral head. It is well suited to nano and small reef aquariums with branching corals to shelter in, and it is reef-safe with corals and invertebrates. It feeds on tiny crustaceans and takes small meaty and prepared foods. Pairs may spawn on coral or rock, guarding the eggs, making it one of the more approachable reef gobies for dedicated nano keepers.
