Azure damselfish

Chrysiptera hemicyanea
French name : Demoiselle azur

The azure damselfish is a small, brightly colored damselfish (family Pomacentridae) from the western Pacific reefs. It has a brilliant blue back and head with a sharply demarcated yellow belly, throat, and often tail, and it keeps this vivid coloration in captivity. It is one of the more peaceful damsels, though it can be mildly territorial. It does well singly or in a small group when introduced together into a spacious tank with ample rockwork. A reef aquarium with plenty of live rock offers shelter and grazing and suits its retiring nature. It is an omnivore that feeds on zooplankton and algae and readily accepts flakes, pellets, and frozen foods. It is reef-safe and hardy, making it an excellent beginner marine fish and a colorful, well-behaved addition to community reef systems.
