Lemonpeel angelfish

The lemonpeel angelfish is a dwarf marine angelfish in the family Pomacanthidae, found on reefs across the central and western Pacific. It typically inhabits coral-rich lagoons and outer reef slopes. Adults are a vivid, uniform lemon yellow with a blue ring around the eye and blue edging on the gill cover and fins. This clean, bright coloration makes it a standout in aquariums. It is semi-aggressive and territorial, best kept singly per tank unless the system is very large. It needs a mature aquarium of ample size with plenty of live rock for grazing and hiding. It grazes on algae and requires a varied diet including marine algae, spirulina, and meaty foods. It may nip at corals and clams, so caution is advised in reef setups. Suited to intermediate keepers.
