Three-spot angelfish

Apolemichthys trimaculatus
French name : Ange à trois taches

The three-spot angelfish is a striking marine angelfish of the family Pomacanthidae, distributed across the tropical Indo-Pacific. Adults are bright yellow overall with blue-edged lips, a black-spotted forehead, and a dark spot on each side above the pectoral fins, the marks that give it its common name. In the wild it grazes on sponges, tunicates, and algae, and is best classified as an omnivore with a strong preference for sponge material. It is typically found singly or in pairs on outer reef slopes. It is considered a moderately demanding aquarium fish that requires a large, mature tank with plenty of live rock for grazing and hiding. Diet should include angelfish preparations containing sponge, plus algae and mixed frozen foods. It is not reliably reef-safe, as it may nip corals and clam mantles, and can be territorial toward other angelfishes.
