Pink skunk clownfish

Amphiprion perideraion
French name : Poisson-clown rose

The pink skunk clownfish is a marine fish of the family Pomacentridae, native to the western Pacific and eastern Indian Ocean reefs. It is pinkish-orange with a single white bar behind the head and a thin white stripe running along the back from head to tail, giving it a distinctive skunk-like appearance. It is a relatively peaceful clownfish that forms pairs and associates with host anemones in the wild, changing sex from male to female as the dominant fish. It suits a peaceful reef or community aquarium and is more retiring than the bolder orange clownfish species. It is an omnivore accepting frozen, pellet and flake foods. It is captive-bred with some regularity, laying and guarding demersal eggs near the host anemone. Because it is somewhat less aggressive than many clownfish, it is best kept with gentle tankmates that will not outcompete or bully it.
