Percula clownfish

Amphiprion percula
French name : Vrai poisson-clown

The percula clownfish is a marine fish of the family Pomacentridae, native to reefs of the western Pacific around Papua New Guinea, northern Queensland and the Solomon Islands. It is bright orange with three white body bars, each edged in thick black, and rounded fins, closely resembling the ocellaris clownfish. It lives in a symbiotic relationship with host anemones and forms strong pairs, with a dominant female and smaller male; all individuals begin as males and the dominant one becomes female. It is one of the most reef-safe and beginner-friendly marine fish, thriving in a stable reef or community tank with or without an anemone. It is an omnivore accepting a wide range of frozen, pellet and flake foods. It is among the most reliably captive-bred marine species, spawning on flat surfaces near the host and guarding demersal eggs. Hardy and personable, it is a marine aquarium staple.
