Ocellaris clownfish
The ocellaris clownfish is a marine damselfish (family Pomacentridae, subfamily Amphiprioninae) from the Indo-Pacific. It is bright orange with three white bars edged in black, and is the species popularized as the classic aquarium clownfish. Captive-bred variants in many patterns and colors are widely available. It lives symbiotically with sea anemones in the wild and is peaceful, hardy, and best kept singly or as a bonded pair. Established pairs are territorial around their host but pose little threat to unrelated tankmates. It adapts well to reef aquariums and does not require an anemone to thrive, though it will host one if present. An omnivore, it accepts flakes, pellets, and frozen foods. It is one of the easiest marine fish to breed in captivity, with the male tending eggs laid on a flat surface near the host.
