Clark's clownfish

Amphiprion clarkii
French name : Poisson-clown de Clark

Clark's clownfish is an anemonefish in the family Pomacentridae, widespread across the Indo-Pacific. It is one of the most variable clownfish, typically dark brown to black with two or three white or bluish bands and yellow to orange fins and tail, the exact colors varying by region. It is a hardy and comparatively bold, sometimes feisty clownfish that forms pairs and readily hosts a wide range of anemone species, more than most other clownfish. It can be territorial around its host and nest. It is an excellent beginner marine fish, adapting well to aquarium life without requiring a host anemone, though it appreciates one. It is an omnivore that eagerly takes prepared, frozen, and meaty foods. Like other clownfish it can spawn in captivity, laying eggs on a flat surface near its shelter that the male tends until they hatch.
