Skunk clownfish

Amphiprion akallopisos
French name : Poisson-clown mouffette

The skunk clownfish is an anemonefish of the family Pomacentridae, native to the Indian Ocean. It is a slender, peach to pinkish-orange fish lacking body bars, marked instead by a single thin white stripe running along the top of the back from the head, which gives it its skunk-like name. It is one of the more peaceful and less aggressive clownfish, forming a hierarchical pair in which the dominant fish becomes a large female. It is best kept singly or as a bonded pair and associates in the wild with carpet and other sea anemones, though it can live without a host in aquariums. It suits reef and fish-only tanks and is reef-safe. It readily accepts a varied omnivorous diet of frozen, prepared, and pellet marine foods. Being a captive-bred favorite, tank-raised specimens are hardy and adapt easily, and the species can be spawned at home with the male tending the eggs.
